The Issaqueena Fire Tower and extensive ground facilities were considered a local attraction as an example of modern rural living for the 1930s, including the first electricity in the area. The 100’ Aermotor tower with 7’x7’ metal cab was built in 1938 by the CCC and WPA. It is located on the Clemson Experimental Forest.
