Located on Public Reserve Land in the northwoods of Maine is Deboullie Mountain Lookout. Owned by the Maine Forest Service, the 60’ guyed steel tower has an 8’x8’ wooden cab perched somewhat precariously on top. Although aircraft have assumed the detection role in this part of the state, the lookout is maintained for communications and as an emergency detection site.
